Crusade India: Towards a New Dawn provides blue prints for taking impoverished areas and making them thriving, city centers. Although this book focuses on India, its messages are appropriate for any impoverished nation whose government sincerely wants to raise its country from the constant perils of poverty.
The soul of many agrarian societies lives in villages. Unless these villages are uplifted the countries shall never progress. Any development in other fields will not be lasting and significantly beneficial for most of the nation unless these villages are made a part of the economic progress. These agrarian areas can become vibrant city centers; thus, they can become key nuclei of economic stability and progress for their countries.
Specifically for India, the author states:
The city centres will have a concept of the city in the centre and the green
lands, rivers and mountains, etc. in the periphery. Each centre may be
about 50 km x 50 km in area. They may take about seven to ten years to
construct. Since all cities shall be built on similar lines town planning and
architectural designs shall be limited to just one city making the development
of several cities easy and fast.
Crusade India is a realistic, well thought out presentation for India and countries like it truly move forward economically and technologically. It is a must-read!
